Buch Funeral Home Adds New Funeral Director

Allissa Abbott Becomes A Licensed Funeral Director

The Buch Family of Funeral Homes is pleased to announce that Allissa Abbott has earned her funeral director license. She will be working at the Manheim funeral home. After graduating with her mortuary degree, she interned with the Buch Family of Funeral Homes for a year prior to her licensing.


A second generation funeral director, Allissa graduated from Manheim Central High School. She then studied at Harrisburg Area Community College. Allissa went on to earn her mortuary degree from Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, where she was a member of Sigma Phi Sigma.


Aaron Abbott, Supervisor of the Manheim funeral home, said “Having my daughter follow in my footsteps to become a funeral director and then being able to work side-by-side with her is such a blessing. The entire staff if pleased to have Allissa be a part of our team.”


The Buch Family of Funeral Homes offers services including traditional and contemporary funerals, cremation and memorial services. Buch has three locations in the Lancaster county area including Buch Funeral Home in Manheim and Mount Joy, as well as the Buch Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lititz. The Buch Family of Funeral Homes has been Faithfully Serving Families For Over A Century.
