William L. "Bill" Patton

William L. “Bill” Patton, 74, of Elizabethtown, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Sunday, May 4, 2025. He was the loving husband of Phyllis (Whitenack) Patton for 53 wonderful years. Born in South Kingstown, RI, he was the son of the late James G. and Margie (Biddy) Patton. Bill spent 40 years employed in the commercial roofing industry, owning and operating his own roofing company, Patton’s Roof Services, for most of that time. Bill received his Master’s Degree in Theology from Lancaster Bible College. Bill loved the faith-family of the church. He and Phyllis began attending Calvary

Bible Church in 1978 and he served as chairman of the elders, Sunday School teacher and in many other capacities. Most recently, he served as the church’s Faith-Family Care Leader. Bill had a heart for sharing the Gospel worldwide. He loved the people of El Salvador and made more than a dozen trips ministering in varying capacities. Family vacations to the beach brought much joy to Bill and his hobbies were reading and teaching the Bible.

Surviving in addition to his wife Phyllis are three children, Jennifer Kline (Brian), Mount Joy, Jessica Molina (Jorge), Tustin CA, Jeremy Patton (Emily), Xenia OH; 10 grandchildren including Gabriela, Micah, Nadia, Selah, Anya, Grant, Elias, Caleb, Asher, and Genevieve; six siblings Carolyn Touchette (Joseph), Williston VT, Thomas Patton, Providence RI, Margie Cornwall (David), Charlestown RI, Daniel Patton, Warwick RI, Gail Safford (Forrester) Charlestown RI, and Ronald Patton, Englewood FL. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a grandson Samuel Patton Molina and a brother James Patton.

Services for Bill will be announced at a later date. Interment in Mount Joy Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to Calvary Bible Church (memo: Global Outreach Ministries) 629 Union School Road, Mount Joy PA 17552.
