Thelma E. Kline

December 9, 1932 — June 9, 2012

Thelma E. Kline, 79, of Manheim, died following a lengthy illness on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Holtwood, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Cleo Strait Mellott. Thelma was an Assistant Manager for Ormonds Clothing Store, Lancaster, for over 25 years; previously she was employed by Mussers Potato Chips Inc. Lancaster County. She was the loving wife of the late J. Stanley Kline who died in February of 1994. Thelma was a member of the White Oak Church of the Brethren Manheim and volunteered for the annual Brethren Disaster Relief Auctions in Lebanon . Her interests included: flower and vegetable gardening, cooking and baking, tending to her many house plants, and attending blue grass and gospel music festivals. Surviving is a daughter, Doris J. Hilton of Elizabethtown, three sons: Frank E. husband of Hyang Kline, Kermit L. husband of Donna Dupler Kline, Terry L. Kline all of Manheim, three granddaughters, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandson, a brother, Robert Mellott companion of Rosalie Phillips of Quarryville, a sister, Maxine wife of Lloyd Flory of Lititz. Preceding her in death are two brothers: Ray and Chalmer Mellott, two sisters: Emmer Geib and Marden Geib and one great grandchild. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the White Oak Church of the Brethren 1211 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Longeneckers Brethren Cemetery, Warwick Township. There will be a viewing at the White Oak Church of the Brethren on Wednesday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing time on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may send contributions in Thelma's memory to Hospice of Lancaster County P. O. Box 4125 Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
