Terry L. Eckert

Terry L. Eckert, of Manheim, PA, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Kathy Eckert. He was the son of the late Roy and Roberta (Sturgis) Eckert. Born in Manheim, Terry spent his entire life in the town he loved. A proud supporter of Manheim Central Baron Football and a lifelong Penn State fan, he rarely missed a game and carried his school spirit with him everywhere. Terry worked his entire career for Amtrak. On Saturdays, he could often be found in the square at Manheim, cutting hair, sharing laughs, swapping stories, and catching up on local sports and town news.

He was a devoted father to two sons, Chris Eckert and his wife Nadia of Pittsburgh and their two children Brody and Adelaide; and Joel Eckert and his partner Kelly of Elizabethtown, and his son Liam and his wife Kristina of Lititz and their daughter Vera.

Terry cherished time with his family, whether trout fishing in local streams, bass fishing with his boys on the Susquehanna River, or sitting around the firepit while camping. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, and nothing made him happier than being surrounded by those he loved. Known for his humor and good nature, Terry enjoyed drinking wine, picking on friends, and making every gathering a little brighter.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him
