Susan H. Stiffler

Susan H. “Sue” Stiffler, 70, of Mount Joy, formerly of Marietta, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at her home. She was the beloved wife of Rodney L. Stiffler, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Fletcher) Treichler.

Sue was a graduate of Conestoga Valley High School, class of 1974. Later in life, she attended the Lancaster County CTC to earn a computer technician certificate. This program gave her the opportunity to be hired by Cocalico School District as a computer technician, retiring in 2021 with 23 years of service.

Sue was avid reader of mystery novels and books by Mitch Albom. She enjoyed going on cruises, where she would watch over the ocean while looking for a whale to appear. Sue also enjoyed going to the beach and looking for dolphins. She loved being with her family, helping others, and she loved animals, especially her faithful Husky, Sky.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jeremy Stiffler, of Mount Joy; a brother, Warren (Betsy) Treichler, of Elizabethtown; sisters, Carol Treichler, of North Carolina, and Beth Ann (Rich) Ritter, of Smoketown; brother-in-law, Rome (Delma) Stiffler, of Idaho Falls, ID; sisters-in-law, Lorie (Mike) Kelch, of Glenville, PA, and Helen (James) Yelton, of Jefferson, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Treichler.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 24, at Buch Funeral Home, 21 West Main Street, Mount Joy, PA 17552, with Pastor Barry Smock officiating. There will be a time to visit with the family from 1 PM – 2 PM.
