Lititz

Shirley A. Siegrist, 88, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Lancaster General Hospital. A lifelong resident of Lititz, Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was her family.

Shirley was the beloved wife of Roy S. Siegrist. Together, they shared nearly 70 years of marriage and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in May 2027.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Shirley was the daughter of the late Charles D. and Helen Yeager Keath. She was a 1955 graduate of Lititz High School and spent much of her working life serving the children and families of her community. In her early years, she drove a school bus for the Warwick School District and later served as the district’s transportation coordinator.

Shirley was an active and faithful member of Jerusalem Church in the village of Penryn, where her faith was an important part of her life. She had many interests and talents. She loved making crafts, baking, reading, and, of course, cheering on her beloved Philadelphia Phillies. She found happiness in the simple things and took particular pleasure in sharing her time and talents with those she loved.

Above all, Shirley was devoted to her family. She cherished time spent with Roy, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her family will remember her for the love, care, and warmth she brought into their lives. The memories she created with them will remain a lasting part of the family she treasured so deeply.

In addition to her husband, Roy, Shirley is survived by her four sons: Jeffrey C., husband of Vickie Siegrist, of York; Brian K., husband of Theresa Siegrist, of Lititz; David A. Siegrist, of Lancaster; and Thomas M. Siegrist, husband of Jeffrey Weir, of Arlington, VA; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Lancaster General Hospital and to Hospice and Community Care for the care they provided to Shirley during her illness.

Services for Shirley will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Penryn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s memory to the Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, PA 17543, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
