Shirley A. Nelson, 86, of Lititz, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Mt. Hope Nazarene Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Lancaster she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Ervin Riexinger. Shirley was the loving wife of the late Ronald E. “Rocky” Nelson who died in February of 2010 following 22 years of marriage. For many years Shirley worked as a supervisor for MXL Industries, Inc. Lancaster. She attended Kingdom Hall. Shirley had a life-long passion for music, as a recording artist, and lead singer. She was a well-known singer, being a member of several bands named: “Country Review, Shangri La, Raybec, and Shirley and the Seagrams” that performed throughout Central Pennsylvania. Shirley enjoyed word search puzzles, spending time with friends, and being devoted to her children, and grandchildren, whom she loved and cherished.

Surviving is a daughter, Vickie L. wife of Ron Cassel of Lititz, a son, Ray E. husband of Polly Bechtold of Lititz, two grandsons: Ryan and Randy Bechtold and a great grandson Declan Cassel. Preceding her in death is a grandson, Tyler Cassel, a brother, Charles Riexinger Jr., and a sister, Gerry Heidig.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Shirley’s Funeral Service at the Buch Funeral Home, 216 South Broad Street, Lititz, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Witness Park Cemetery, Lititz. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Shirley’s memory to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
