Samuel R. Snader

Samuel R Snader, 90, of Ephrata, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026. Born in Manheim, he was one of 12 children born to the late Daniel and Lilly Snader.

He spent most of his life working as an independent truck driver, did some excavating, then retired from Snavely's Mill. He also enjoyed transporting the Amish.

He loved building projects, fixing things, and painting cars. He was always willing to help family and friends with their projects.

He is survived by his children; Jane Kurtz, Janice Moyer, Dennis (Julie) Snader, Judy (Rick) Resh, Jeanette Snader and Joan (Mike) McCracken. 18 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Also survived by 1 sister, Gloria Nauman. He was predeceased by sons-in-law Earl Kurtz and Ray Moyer, daughter-in-law Sharon Haldeman and grandchildren Troy Snader and Jill Kurtz, 9 sisters and 1 brother.

Funeral service will be at the Buch Funeral Home, 216 South Broad Street, Lititz, on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM and also on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Sam’s memory to Ephrata Manor Benevolent Fund, 99 Bethany Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.
