Ruth A. Kulp

Ruth A. Kulp, 85, of Manheim, stepped into heaven, on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at her son’s home surrounded by loved ones. She was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Manheim, to John H. and Martha K. (Shenk) Oberholtzer. On Nov. 10, 1956, she married Robert Kulp at her parents’ home in Lancaster Junction. They would have celebrated 69 years of marriage this November.

Ruth lived all of her childhood and adult life in the Manheim area. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Manheim Grace Church. She trusted Christ as her Savior in 1968. Ruth and her husband spent their lives together on their dairy farm. She was a hard worker, not only on the farm but also in caring for her sons. After the boys were grown, she cleaned houses and also worked at the Manheim Auto Auction, driving cars and serving in the snack shop. Ruth loved to cook and enjoyed hosting family gatherings throughout the years. She was also a member of a local farm women's group and spent many enjoyable times with her friends. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family and especially enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband Robert, are three sons: Robert Jr. (Susan), Elkhart, IN, Dennis (Carla), Lititz, and David (Anne), Manheim; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Peg Oberholtzer of Lebanon. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Loraine Kulp; great-granddaughter, Coraline McClure; and two brothers, Cletus Oberholtzer and Donald (Corinne) Oberholtzer.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ruth’s funeral service at Manheim Grace Church, 333 East High Street, Manheim, on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Wednesday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing time at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
