Romaine Hershey

  Romaine Hershey, 98, of Penryn, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, died peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Landis Homes. Born in Penryn, she was the daughter of the late Luke and Elsie Eckert Groff. A homemaker, Romaine was the loving wife of the late Glenn H. Hershey who died in January of 2011. She was an active and faithful member of White Oak Church, Manheim. Romaine had a deep passion for her family, and cherished all the time she could spend with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

   Surviving are two sons: Galen husband of Jo Lynette Hershey, Robert husband of Debbie Hershey, a daughter, Luanne wife of Dale Zuck all of Penryn, a sister, Shirley wife of Paul Wenger of Brunnerville, 19 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Preceding her in death are two daughters: Lucille Mazzella, Linda Neidermyer, two grandchildren: David Lee and Alyssa Joy Neidermyer, one great grandson, Emmett Jeremiah Kilheffer, two brothers: Galen and Clifford Groff and a sister: Violetta Groff.

   Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Romaine’s funeral service at the White Oak Church, 1211 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Friday, December 26, 2025 at 10:30 AM. There will be a viewing at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Graybill’s Cemetery.
