Richard J. Zack Sr.

            Richard J. Zack Sr., 84, of Manheim passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Born in Throop, PA, he was the son of the late William and Lena Karlavage Zack. He was the loving husband of Kathleen “Kathy” Sweet Zack and they would have observed their 63^rd wedding anniversary in April. Richard retired as a service representative for Datacard Corp. He was an active and faithful member of St. Richard Catholic Church, Manheim where he served as an usher. Richard was also active with the Knights of Columbus. 

            Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Richard Jr. husband of Sheree Zack of Lancaster, Christopher husband of Tonya Zack of Kentucky and Nicholas husband of Sandra Zack of Elizabethtown; 2 step granddaughters, Isabel and Katie and a sister, Cecilia Heitzenrater of King of Prussia. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Zack, two sisters, Eleanor Ulko, Evelyn Gutkowski and three brothers, Bill, Chet and Joe Zack.

            A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will take place at St. Richard Catholic Church, 110 North Oak Street, Manheim on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Father Stephen D. Weitzel as Celebrant. There will be a viewing at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Richard’s memory to St. Richard Catholic Church.
