Rachel A. Hilsher

Rachel A. Hilsher, 70, of Manheim, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Neffsville Nursing & Rehabilitation. Born in Quentin, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Naomi Mumma Witmer. She was the loving wife of Jay R. Hilsher and they observed their 45th wedding anniversary this past May. Rachel was a longtime member of Elizabethtown Mennonite Church. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, cats and the fall season.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Jay, are three sons, Jeremy husband of Amanda Hilsher of Columbia, Jesse husband of Whitney Hilsher of Elizabethtown, Joel husband of Cassie Hilsher of Mount Joy, six grandchildren, and two brothers, Harold, Jr. husband of Nancy Witmer of Elizabethtown and James Witmer of Pine Grove. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Witmer.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Rachel’s Funeral Service at Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday, October 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
