Rachel C. Minnich

May 16, 1949 — June 30, 2010

Rachel C. Minnich, 61 of 150 Sego Sago Road, Lititz, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County.

Born in Penn Township, she was the daughter of Mary Cassel Wagner of Manheim, and the late Paul Wagner. Rachel was a 1970 graduate of the Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing; and worked as a registered nurse at the Mennonite Home in Lancaster for fourteen years. She was the loving wife of David H. Minnich, and they would have observed their 40th wedding anniversary in August of this year. Rachel was a member of the White Oak Church Of The Brethren Manheim. Her interests included flowers and bird watching, especially blue birds. Her lifes passion was her family, and spending time caring for her children and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her mother, and husband, are three sons: Chad D. husband of Donna L. Huber Minnich, Michael T. Minnich all of Lititz, Jason R. husband of Amy J. Bollinger Minnich of Manheim, five grandchildren: Cody, Hunter, Leah, Kayla, Laura, three brothers: Glen husband of Bernice Wagner of Lititz, John husband of Joyce Wagner of Manheim, and Mark husband of Rita Wagner of East Petersburg. Preceding her in death is a sister, Sara Lowery.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service from the White Oak Church Of The Brethren 1211 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Monday, July 5, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Ministers: Samuel M. Cassel, Carl R. Groff, and J. Marvin Shenk officiating. Interment is in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the church, on Sunday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing on Monday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
