Patsy Cawood Graybill, 92, of Lititz, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother; died peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Dunn, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Frances Core Jernigan. Pat was the loving wife of Ammon “AK” Graybill Jr, and they observed their 30th wedding anniversary in June of this year. Pat’s first husband was the late Dr. John W. Cawood who died in September of 1992. Pat and John were married for thirty years after falling in love as teenage sweethearts in Florida. Pat taught numerous women’s Bible studies in Pennsylvania for over forty years including at Grace Chapel in Havertown, Cairn University in Langhorne, Willow Valley, and Lancaster Bible College. During the 1980’s she led a Bible study ministry for the professional athlete wives of the Eagles, Sixers, Flyers, Phillies and Mets. She was an active and faithful member of Calvary Church, Lancaster. Pat enjoyed crafts, making, selling and giving away as gifts candles, jewelry, soaps and resins. Throughout her life she had a servant’s heart, always looking to help and encourage friends and strangers with the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Her faith and family filled her heart, and she cherished all the time she was able to spend with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband Ammon “AK” Graybill, is a daughter, Laura wife of Dell Broadbelt of Levittown, a son, Scott husband of Jackie Cawood of Huntingdon Valley, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and a brother, Ron husband of Jan Jernigan of Lake Mary, Florida.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Pat’s Memorial Service in the Chapel at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster; on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 4:30 PM. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Monday afternoon from 3:30 PM until the time of the service. (Please use the Chapel Entrance of Calvary Church). Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Davisville Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Pat’s memory to: Cairn University, C/O Stewardship & Development Office, 200 Manor Ave. Langhorne, PA 19047.
