Naomi W. Sickles

Naomi W. Sickles, 89, formerly of Penryn, died peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Ephrata Manor.

Born in Westford, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Grace Espy White. Naomi worked as a Bank Teller for Linesville Bank and later in the office for Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad in Greenville. She was the loving wife of Norman W. Sickles who died in 1994. Naomi was a very active and faithful member of Lake View Bible Church Manheim where she contacted members through notes, mailing bulletins, and visits to encourage members in their faith and attendance at church. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother in the Bernville area. She also volunteered at Ephrata Manor where she would make visits and assure residents with her positive outlook and faith.

Surviving is a son: Reverend Gary A. husband of Reverend Debra A. Sickles of Manheim, a daughter: Diane S. wife of Michael R. Kilby of Lititz, a granddaughter, Katie Sickles, two step grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren. Preceding her in death is a brother, Durward White.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at Donecker Chapel at Ephrata Manor 99 Bethany Road Ephrata, on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Charles A. Arnold officiating. Interment will be private in Memory Gardens Cemetery Ephrata. The family will receive friends in the chapel on Friday afternoon from 1:30 PM until the time of the service.
