Michael L."Mike" Hoffman

Michael Lee “Mike” Hoffman, 82, of Manheim, passed away at home on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Floyd and Susan Mae Shissler Hoffman. He was the loving husband of Joyce H. Hamaker Hoffman and they observed their 52nd wedding anniversary this past May. Mike was a 1962 graduate of Warwick High School. After High School he was a baseball coach for the former Manheim Magic and also coached for Manheim Little League, F&M College, and Lancaster Catholic High School. He was employed by the United States Post Office, Lititz for over 35 years. After retiring he was a security guard for Spooky Nook Sports Complex and a crossing guard for several school districts. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. Mike proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. A friend of Bill W. for over 40 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Joyce, is a son, David Hoffman of Manheim, two daughters, Connie wife of Troy Dennis, Kimberly wife of Jason Redcay both of Manheim, eight grandchildren; Cailee, Dustin, Tessa, Shamier, Ryker, Jaida, Asia and Laken, two great granddaughters, Abby and Lilly, and two sisters, Faye Frey and Susie wife of Chip Stoler both of Lititz. He was preceded in death by a brother, Max Hoffman.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mike’s Funeral Service at Manheim Brethren In Christ Church, 54 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 6:00 PM. There will be a viewing from 5:00 PM until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery the following morning, Family only.
