Melanie Jane Yoder

Melanie Jane Yoder, 35, of Mount Joy passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Dale W. and Audrey J. Siegrist Yoder of Mount Joy. She graduated from Liberty University with a BS Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Melanie was kind, dedicated & generous to those around her. A beloved teacher during her time at Faith Factory Learning Center at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Mount Joy. She was able to touch a lot of hearts during her time there.

Surviving in addition to her parents is a sister, Julie wife of Michael Hasircoglu of Lancaster, two nieces, Olivia and Violet. She was preceded in death by a niece, Charlotte.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Melanie’s Celebration of Life Service at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 37 East Main Street, Mount Joy on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Private interment in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Melanie’s memory to Faith Factory Learning Center, 37 East Main Street, Mount Joy, PA 17552.
