Marilyn M. Feick, 94, of Manheim, formerly of Reading and Willow Street, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Pleasant View Communities.
Born in West Reading, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Edward A. and S. Kathryn (Walborn) Mohr. She was a 1950 graduate of Wyomissing High School and attended Albright College.
Marilyn shared 26 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Dr. Ralph H. Feick, until his passing in 2001. Throughout her life, she was known not only for her strong work ethic but also for the genuine kindness she showed everyone she met. She began her career in the admissions office at Reading Hospital and later served as a receptionist for the Forry & Huber Dental Office in Wyomissing. She also enjoyed helping customers as a sales associate at Watt & Shand Department Store, Donecker's, and the Cedar Closet stores, where her warm smile and friendly personality made lasting impressions.
Faith and service were guiding principles throughout Marilyn's life. As a young woman, she was deeply involved at Ebenezer EUB Church in Reading, where she joyfully served as a youth director and Sunday school teacher. She also volunteered as an assistant Brownie leader at Lincoln Park United Methodist Church. In later years, she found a church home at Christ Episcopal Church in Reading and faithfully participated in the Chapel at Pleasant View Communities.
Marilyn embraced life with enthusiasm, compassion, and grace. At Pleasant View Communities, she co-founded the beloved Silver Foxes dance troupe, whose performances brought smiles to countless audiences while raising funds for the community's Cognitive Care Fund. Whether dancing, volunteering, or simply sharing conversation, Marilyn had a remarkable ability to brighten every room she entered.
Those who knew Marilyn will remember her as a caring and loving woman with a servant's heart. She quietly sought out those in need, offering encouragement, support, and friendship without expecting recognition. Above all else, she treasured her family. Time spent with children, grandchildren, and loved ones was her greatest joy, and the memories she created with them will be cherished forever.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Kathleen L., wife of Larry Eckenroth, of Reading; her stepson, Peter S. Feick and his wife, Edith, of Connecticut; her stepdaughter, Linda F. Proctor and her husband, James, of Uniondale; eight step-grandchildren; and seventeen step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ralph, Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, P. Edward Bohren; her stepson, John R. Feick; her step-grandson, Joseph Valentine; her sister, Jane Mohr; and her brother, Edward Mohr.
Marilyn leaves behind a legacy of faith, generosity, joy, and unconditional love. Her gentle spirit, radiant smile, and unwavering kindness touched countless lives and will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.
