M. Elizabeth Hevener

Mae Elizabeth “Liz” Hevener, 86, of Lititz, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at DarWay Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center in Forksville. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mae Ober Eshleman, and wife of the late Jack R. Hevener, who passed away in 2013.

A graduate of Hempfield High School, Liz was athletic and enjoyed field hockey and girls basketball. She worked at RCA in Lancaster and was a secretary at the Manheim Auto Auction.

Liz was a Sunday school teacher and former member of the Church of God in Lititz. She enjoyed canning and traveling with her husband.

She is survived by a son, Barry D. Hevener, companion of Lisa Friday, Lititz; two grandchildren, Benjamin Hevener, Lancaster, Jessica, wife of Matthew Reinhart, Lititz; two great grandsons, Samuel and Eric; a brother, Donald, husband of Joan Eshleman, Lititz, and two sisters, Marion, wife of Ross Weaver, Lancaster, and Dorothy Fritsch, Mountville. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Robert Eshleman and a sister, Jean Hoxworth.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service for Liz at the Buch-Heisey Funeral Home, 216 S. Broad St., Lititz, on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. preceded by a viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Longenecker Brethren Cemetery, Lititz.
