Lucille M. Shank, 97, formerly of Manheim passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Emma (Obenstine) Putt. She was the loving wife of the late Howard W. “Hop” Shank who died in 2015. She graduated from Lebanon High School. In her earlier years, she worked at the former RCA, Albright’s Market, Stan’s Drive-In and assisted with the former Shank’s Automotive, Manheim. Lucille was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Manheim where she helped with Bible School and preparing meals for church functions. Her interests included singing, cooking, bus trips and family vacations, especially going to Ocean City, MD.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald husband of Sharon Shank of Manheim, Douglas husband of Marge Shank of Lancaster, three granddaughters, Melissa wife of Michael Schaeffer, Ashley wife of Brian List, Kelsey wife of Jacob Koerber, four great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by nine siblings, Russell, Charles, Clayton, Alfred, Oscar, Eugene, Mae, Betty and Emma.
The family would like to thank the employees at United Zion Retirement Community for all their love, care and support they gave Lucille over the years.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lucille’s Graveside Service at Manheim Fairview Cemetery, 98 West Sun Hill Road, Manheim on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
