Lloyd C. Bender, 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Sally Sensenig Bender who passed away in 2015. Lloyd was a self-employed contractor and also worked for J.G. Baker, Manheim for 20 years. He was a member of Ruhl’s United Methodist Church, Manheim. Lloyd enjoyed hunting, woodworking, auctions and loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving is a daughter, Vickie B. wife of Karl Alston of East Granby, CT, a son, Douglas S. Bender, six grandchildren, Douglas T., Scott, Jared, Lindsey, Alicia and Ben, five great grandchildren, and a brother, J. Warren husband of Ada Bender of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Rhoda Gerlach, Edna Beston, Elizabeth Bender, John L., Roy V., Ralph, Richard L. and Donald Bender.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lloyd’s Funeral Service at Ruhl’s United Methodist Church, 4810 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment in Ruhl’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, Manheim. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Lloyd’s memory to The WellSpan Heart Failure Program, 140 North Pointe Blvd, Lancaster, PA 17601.
