L. Marjean “Jeannie” Wolgemuth, 76, of Manheim, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Hospice & Community Care. Born in Lancaster, she was the cherished daughter of the late Mark S. and Janet Givler Wolgemuth.
Jeannie devoted more than 30 years to her family’s business, T & D Excavating Inc. in Manheim, where she faithfully served as Office Manager and Administrator. She attended Lancaster Bible College, formerly Lancaster School of the Bible, earning her associate degree while also enjoying her time as a field hockey player.
For more than 40 years, Jeannie was a devoted and active member of Hershey Free Church, where she taught Sunday school and shared her musical gifts by playing the piano. She was also a cherished member of “Trust Co.,” a well-known Christian women’s a cappella singing group that performed throughout Central Pennsylvania and beyond, recording several albums and CDs over the years.
Above all, Jeannie’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured time spent with her great-nieces and great-nephews, often taking them on nature walks filled with adventure, laughter, and discovery. An avid reader and lover of nature, she found beauty in God’s creation and delighted in sharing it with others.
Jeannie will be remembered for her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and unwavering kindness. She had a natural way of making people feel cared for and valued, always looking for ways to help those in need. Her servant’s heart and warm presence brought comfort and light to everyone around her, and her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
