Kenneth E. Hummer, 66, of 2931 North Colebrook Road, Manheim died unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, December 19, 2009.
Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late William and Annie Stoner Hummer. Ken was a member of Ruhls United Methodist Church, Manheim. He was a life long farmer in Rapho Township; and also worked for the Mount Hope Church Home now known as Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community Manheim for over 15 years; previously Ken worked for Bombergers Store, Elm for over 18 years. Ken enjoyed movies, traveling to the mountains in Perry County, reading, vegetable gardening and canning.
He will be lovingly missed by many friends.
Funeral services for Ken will be held at Ruhls United Methodist Church, 4810 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Rob Timlin officiating. There will be a public viewing on Saturday morning at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
