Kathleen “Kathy” DeLuca, 79 of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, formerly of Oakdale, New York, departed this life on Friday, July 17, 2026, while under the care of Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. She was the loving wife of the late George DeLuca, with whom she shared 30 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2011.
Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Edna Mae (Safe) Gavigan.
Kathy was a graduate of South Park High School in Buffalo. Following high school, she proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman from 1966 – 1969. In addition to raising her family, Kathy worked as a Library Clerk for the North Babylon Public Library. She also was an “Avon Lady”, selling Avon products to her local community.
In her spare time, Kathy enjoyed reading and crocheting, and she enjoyed the QVC channel. She also really liked to have a good milkshake and drink Pepsi soda.
She is survived by her children, Michele DeLuca, wife of Nanine, of Oakdale, NY, Michael DeLuca, husband of Jill, of Hauppauge, NY, Christine Maresco, wife of Tom, of Yaphank, NY, and Nicole Ashenfalder, wife of Rick, of Mount Joy, PA; grandchildren, Ryan, Samantha, Aidan, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Connor, and Cole DeLuca, and Lincoln, Lucas, and Landon Ashenfalder. She is also survived by a brother, Paul Gavigan, of FL, and Sharon Schultz, wife of Gary, of Buffalo, NY.
Services and interment will be private.
