Judith L. “Judy” Snyder, 86, of Elizabethtown, PA, formerly of Hershey’s Mill, West Chester, PA and Oil City, PA, departed this life on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Masonic Village. She was the loving wife of the late Donald B. Snyder, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2011.

Born in Boardman, OH, she was the daughter of the late Reuben P. and Elizabeth (Solomon) Benjamin.

Following graduation from Boardman High School, Judy attended Theil College for two years. After marrying Don, Judy enrolled at University of Pittsburgh and earned a bachelor’s degree in business. During her working career she was employed as a substitute teacher in the Penn Hills School District, a teacher at a business school, an office manager for an internal medicine practice, and a sales support and procurement specialist for Sloan Ford. In her retirement, Judy found great enjoyment providing daycare for her grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved to sing in choirs and theatre groups, and she was a talented seamstress, making costumes for theatre groups and formal dresses for family and friends. She also was an avid golfer, winning several tournaments with her husband.

She is survived by a daughter, Beth (Tom) Simpson, of West Chester, PA, and their children, Morgan (Cynthia) Simpson, Nicholas Simpson, and Anna Semel; a son, Matthew (Sissy) Snyder, of Galveston, TX; and a sister, Paula Barrett, of Poland, OH. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Benjamin, and a sister, Beverly Hendrickson.

Services and interment will be private.
