Joseph L. Shields

Joseph L Shields, 65, of Honesdale, PA passed away on December 26, 2025 at the home of his son Eric in Elizabethtown, PA. He was born on January 30,1960 to the late Joseph R. and Joyce (Rosencranse) Shields. Surviving are his sons: Eric and wife Danielle, Randy and wife Chelsea and his daughter Keli and her husband Jack Peters. Grandchildren: Ayden, Jase, Cody, Lexi, Noah, Arya, Carter and Ember. He was the youngest of eight children. He has three surviving sisters: Fran Smith, Pat Gregorski and Vera Shields.

Surviving brothers-in-law: Doug Mohrmann, Al Gregorski and Chuck Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by the following: one brother Ray and wife Maggie, sisters Margaret and husband Walter Hamlyn, Kathy Mohrmann and Anna Gregorski and one other brother-in-law, Chick Gregorski.

There will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 12:00 to 3:00 at the Beach Lake Free Methodist Church, 107 Milanville Road, Beach Lake, PA. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Joseph’s memory to the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, PA 17545 to help defray funeral expenses.
