Joseph J. Doskocil Jr. 82, of Lancaster, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, died peacefully on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in the Czech Republic, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Vera Hastrolova Doskocil. He attended Millersville University. Joe worked in the commercial printing industry throughout his life. He retired from Alcom Printing, Harleysville, where he worked in the sales department for many years; previously he was Vice President in the Sales Division for Acorn Press, Lancaster. Joe served on the board for the Fulton Theater while the theater was undergoing major renovations; he also served on the board for United Disabilities Services, Lancaster, and was an active member for the Lancaster Jaycees. Joe loved the outdoors, whether it was spending time in the mountains, snow skiing in Colorado, or in the warm waters with scuba diving in Coral Reef. He loved all Philly Sports and was an enthusiastic fan of Phillies, Eagles, Seventy Sixers, and Flyers. But his love and overall passion was EVERYTHING Harley-Davidson; from riding his precious Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, to having a serious collection of memorabilia, this was a life-long passion and was the joy of his heart. His interests and his family was his deepest love.
Surviving is a son, Joseph J. Doskocil III of Lancaster, his ex-wife, Nancy Doskocil and her children Leah and Nick; four grandchildren: George, Alivia, Tyler, Taylor; one great grandson, Leo; a sister, Scarlett Cairy of Media; a nephew, Brian and a niece, Michele. Preceding him in death is a daughter-in-law, Tammy J. Doskocil.
Services for Joe will be private and at the convenience of the family.
