John E. Rhoads

John E. Rhoads, 92, of Manheim, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2026 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in East Petersburg, he was the son of the late Daniel H. and Elizabeth Ebersole Rhoads Landis. He was the husband of the late Donna F. (Huber) Rhoads who died in 1977. John retired after 38 years as a heavy equipment operator for the former Binkley & Ober, East Petersburg. He was a member of White Oak Church, Manheim. John enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

Surviving are two sons, J. Eugene husband of Mary Rhoads of Selinsgrove, David G. husband of Darlene Rhoads of Manheim and two daughters, Joyce A. wife of Marvin Farrel of Manheim, Donna M. wife of John Miller of Stevens; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a brother, Melvin E. husband of Velda Rhoads of Lititz. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Anna E. Shirk, Marlin E., Daniel E., Abram E. and Samuel E. Rhoads.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend John’s Funeral Service at White Oak Church, 1211 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Monday, November 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment in East Fairview Church Cemetery, Manheim.
