John A. Mullineaux Jr.

John A. Mullineaux Jr., 75, of Lancaster, and formerly of Manheim, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, brother, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Darby, he was the son of the late John A. and Rita Downey Mullineaux. John was the loving husband of Paulette “Joey” Staub Mullineaux and they observed their 53rd wedding anniversary in May of this year. He attended LCBC Manheim and Lancaster Campus and Community Fellowship Church, Lancaster.

John graduated Cum Laude from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He worked as a Certified Public Accountant in New York and Pennsylvania. In 2014 John retired as Finance Director for Solesis Medical Technologies, Division of Fenner PLc working there since 2010; from 1995 – 2010 he served as Finance Director for Precision Polymers Division of Fenner. John was President of Fenner Drives from 1991-1995, and Vice President of Fenner Manheim from 1984-1991. He served as Assistant Treasurer for Albee Corporation 1976-1984 and as Auditor for Haskins & Sells from 1971-1976. Past Professional Activities that John undertook serving as Director for Horrigan/American, Inc., Business Outlet Inc., Micrographics Corporation.

Throughout his life John had a deep passion and commitment in helping his local community through his volunteer leadership as president, treasurer, and director. Currently he was serving as Director and Treasurer for LIFECYCLES, and Director, Central Market Trust; past community involvement: Director, Central American Relief Efforts, Past President, Lancaster Bicycle Club, founding member of CM², Helpline Educational Facilitator, Patient Advocates for Advance Cancer Treatments.

Additional personal leadership involvement by John with the following organizations over the years were: Helpline Educational Facilitator for Prostate Cancer Research Institute, Executive Committee, UsToo, Lancaster Chapter, Deacon & Treasurer, St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Manheim, Business School Campaign Committee, Ithaca College, Founding Director, Manheim Central Foundation for Educational Enrichment, Vice President, Manheim Area Economic Development Corp., Fund Raising Co-Chair Manheim Creative Playground, Co-Founding Director, Dream Ride for Lancaster, Director, Friends of Better Government, Director, Friends of the Atglen-Susquehanna Trail, and Treasurer, Lancaster-Lebanon Council Boy Scouts of America.

John had several interests over the years. He was an avid reader and read on a variety of topics including politics, biographies, religion, self-improvement but most notably science fiction. He spent a lot of time traveling and while much of this was work related, he also enjoyed exploring the US and Europe with his family. John also became an excellent cook after attending cooking classes. Finally, it’s impossible to discuss John’s passions without mentioning cycling. John could be found riding the streets and back roads of Lancaster County for over 40 years. A member of the Lancaster Bicycle Club John would join and help organize rides and mentor young riders through Life Cycles. John’s love of cycling created many cherished friendships over many miles and decades.

John’s life was filled with public service and driven to make the world a better place by helping wherever he could; he deeply and passionately loved his family and wanted to live his faith everyday by his humble example.

Surviving in addition to his wife Paulette “Joey,” is a son James P. husband of Chandra Mullineaux of Saginaw, MI, a daughter, Kim wife of Steve Ginder of Lititz, four grandchildren: Maddy wife of Sam Permenter, Hailey Ginder, Sam Mullineaux, Zach Mullineaux, a brother, William J. II husband of Elaine Mullineaux of Mountville, a niece Lauren wife of Chis Tanji of Mountville.
