Janice R. Martin

  Janice R. Martin, 84, of Manheim, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Edith Shue Rohrer. She was a 1959 graduate of Manheim Central. A homemaker, Janice was the loving wife of Jay S. Martin, and they observed their 64th wedding anniversary in November of last year. Janice was a member of Bent Creek Country Club, Lititz, and the Hamilton Club, Lancaster. She loved golfing with her friends, and was an extremely talented and wonderful cook. Her deepest passion was her family; she cherished the time she could spend with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

   Surviving in addition to her husband, Jay; is a daughter, Lisa A. Piero, of Lancaster, two sons: Doug husband of Julie Martin of Bristol, TN, Bryan husband of Amy Martin of Lancaster, eight grandchildren, and four great granddaughters. Preceding her in death is a great granddaughter, Mason Maracci, a brother, Robert Rohrer, and a sister, Darlene Creighton.

   Services for Janice will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in East Fairview Church Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Those desiring may send contributions in Janice’s memory to the East Fairview Church Benevolent Care Fund, 1187 Fairview Road, Manheim, PA 17545.
