James E. “Jim” Nauman, 67, of Manheim, formerly of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, as a result of injuries he sustained from an accident while riding an e-bike. He was the beloved husband of Cathy L. (Rohrer) Nauman, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Romanus B. “Junie” and Margie R. (Connelly) Nauman.
Jim was a graduate of Manheim Central High School, class of 1977. He went on to attend Penn State, York Campus, and earn an associate degree in computer science. Jim then had a career as a programmer analyst, working for Jay Group, being a partner in a consulting firm, JMJ Consulting, and most recently working for Palmer Candy.
Having a passion for racing, Jim owned a Subaru WRX that he raced in road courses, rallies, and hill climbs. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, riding his bicycle, gardening and canning vegetables, and spending time at his grandchildren’s sporting events. He also was a dog lover, especially pugs. Jim was a member of the Manheim Sportsman’s Association, Pennsylvania Hill Climb Association, and he was a former member of Salem United Methodist Church of Manheim.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Janine Niehaus, wife of Scott, and their children, Evan, Addyson, and Kennedi, of Mount Joy, and Mallory Hardy, wife of Matthew, and their son, Maclan “Jack”, of Manheim. He is also survived by a sister, Lori Haldeman, wife of Pete, of Reinholds.
