Jack R. Curtis, 83, of Manheim, died peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Neffsville Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John Robert and Kathryn Smith Curtis. Jack was the loving husband of Agnes L. “Aggie” Herman Curtis and they observed their 33rd wedding anniversary in January of this year. His first wife was the late Bessie Rodgers Curtis who died in October of 1987. For over 25 years Jack worked in the shipping department for Warner Lambert/Pfizer Company, Lititz. Following retirement Jack and Aggie enjoyed traveling to Jamica, Dominican Republic, Germany, and the United States. Jack had a deep passion for musician and song writer George Thorogood; and his band the Destroyers, who dominated the 1980’s US Rock Radio with their high energy boogie-blues music. Jack was thoughtful and kind and wanted to help anyone in need. He was a true friend to many.
Surviving in addition to his wife Aggie, is a sister, Kathryn “ Kitty” Armstrong of Florida. Preceding him in death is a stepson, Kevin Deibler and a step daughter, Vickie Lentz.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jack’s funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private in Manheim Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Jack’s memory to: Humane Pennsylvania, 1729 North 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604.
