Gertrude V. Wright

Gertrude V. Wright, 84, formerly of Medford, NJ, died Tuesday March 30, 2010 at the Masonic Village Health Care Center, Elizabethtown PA where she was a resident for four years. She was the widow of the late Richard J. Wright. Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Robert B. and Flora E. (South) Elliott.


Gertrude worked as a bank manager until she retired. She was an avid card player with her lady friends in Marlton and enjoyed art projects. She was also a devoted grandmother and was affectionately known as Gummie.


She is survived by two sons, Robert J. Wright and his wife Jeanne of Bonita Springs FL, Richard W. Wright and his wife Elaine of Woolford MD; a daughter Virginia W. Iverson and her husband Guy of Medford NJ; three granddaughters Elisabeth age 28, who has a under graduate degree and graduate degree from the University of Virginia and resides in Charlottesville VA, Katie age 23, a graduate of Wake Forrest University in 2009 resides in Denver Co; and Kristen age 20 a sophomore at the University of Alabama.

Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
