Manheim

Dear Family and Friends it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved GeorgiaRae Bernhardt.

GeorgiaRae was 69 of Manheim, PA. She passed away December 26, 2023 at the UPMC Lititz Hospital with her loving fiancé David (Dave) Smith by her side. Born on February 27, 1954 and raised in Holtwood, PA, she was the daughter of the late Karl L. Bernhardt Sr. and Eileen D. (Conley) Bernhardt. She attended Penn Manor High School in Millersville, PA and for several years lived in Fort Myers, FL. She returned to Lancaster to help take care of her grandfather.

She was a vibrant soul, unique in her own way, and brought a distinctive light into our lives.

Georgia’s spirit and individuality were part of what made her so special. Her unwavering kindness, her unique perspective on life, and her ability to see beauty in the unconventional touched the hearts of many. She was a remarkable individual who lived life on her own terms, bringing a unique perspective and warmth to our family.

In addition to her fiancé, Dave, the love of her life for 26 years, she is survived by her two sisters, Darla Miller of Tavares, FL, Yvonna Black (Frank) of New Holland, PA, and one brother, Karl L. Bernhardt Jr. of Willow Street, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.

As we bid her farewell let us remember the moments of joy she shared, the laughter she brought, and the love she freely gave. We will miss her dearly but take solace in knowing that her memory will live on in our stories, cherished memories, and the love she bestowed upon us. While we mourn her absence, let us also celebrate the life she lived and the undeniable mark she left on each of us.

Please pray for her partner in life and very best friend, Dave. She said he treated her like a princess every single day. With love and fond remembrance, The Bernhardt Family
