Frances J. "Fran" Stauffer

Frances J. “Fran” Stauffer, 79, of Mount Joy, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Mt. Hope Nazarene Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Mount Joy, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Grace Breneman Nolt. She was the loving wife of Jay R. Stauffer and they observed 57 years of marriage this past October. Fran was a member of Worship Center, Lancaster. Her interests included sewing, gardening, baking, cooking, time at Raystown Lake, and she loved to spend time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Jay, are three children, Duane husband of Marcia Stauffer of Elizabethtown, Darryl husband of Jennifer Stauffer of Mount Joy, Denise wife of Robert VanAxen of Elizabethtown, 10 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, a brother, James husband of Ruth Ann Nolt of Mount Joy, and a sister Ruth Ann Yost of Leola. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Werning.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Fran’s Memorial Service at Chiques Church, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service. There will be a viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday, February 20, evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Private interment in Chiques Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Fran’s memory to Mt. Hope Nazarene Retirement Community, 3026 Mt. Hope Home Road, Manheim, PA 17545.
