Ernest D. Clinton, Ernie, 83, of Manheim, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, August 21, 2026. Born in Sellersville, he was the son of the late Harry M. And Edith Swartley Clinton. He was the loving husband of the late Carol A. Cullingford Clinton, who passed away in 2023.

Ernest retired as a machine operator for Merck & Company. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Mount Joy and former member of Renew Bible Church, Perkasie and Calvary Church of Souderton. Ernest proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Ernie is survived by a daughter, Kimberly A. and her husband Lieutenant Colonel Timothy R. Stiansen, USA (Ret.), of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY; a son Brian W. and his wife Morgan Clinton of Lawton, PA; two grandchildren, Grace E. and her husband Brenden Jones, of Nashville, TN; Gabriel T. and his wife Grace Stiansen of Gilbert, AZ; two great-grandchildren, Roman and Lily Stiansen; and three siblings, Walter husband of Jan Clinton, Joyce DeHart, and Phyllis Detweiler. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
