Elsie J. Lueders

Elsie J. Lueders, 97, of Lancaster, formerly of East Hempfield Township, passed away on June 25, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Harry J. Lueders III, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2004.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Clemens F. and Rosella R. (Emig) Leibsly.

Elsie was a graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. Early in her life she worked as a secretary. She went on to marry Harry and spend many years caring for her family and home. She was a member of the Iris Club and she was a charter member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Lancaster.

She is survived by her son, Steven Lueders, husband of Diane, of Leola; grandchildren, Jason Lueders, husband of Ashley, and Michelle Phillips, wife of Josh; seven great-grandchildren; and her late grandson’s wife, Becki Lueders Martin. In addition to her husband and her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Lueders, and a grandson, Andrew Lueders.

Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 30, at Rohrerstown Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery, 2371 Wood Street, Lancaster (Rohrerstown), PA 17603.
