Edward F. “Ed” Moyer, 86, of Manheim, formerly of Camp Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Linda S. (Levenite) Keiffer, with whom he shared 9 years of marriage.
Born in Tower City, Schuylkill County, he was the son of the late Edward F. and Minerva I. (Schoffstall) Moyer.
Following graduation from Porter Tower High School in 1957, Ed proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1959 to 1963. He then went on to attend H.A.C.C. and later York College, earning a bachelor’s degree in long-term care administration. For many years he was employed by Masonic Village at Elizabethtown as a dietician.
Ed enjoyed cooking, baking, and growing vegetables in his garden. For many years he would enter baked goods and vegetables in the Manheim Farm Show. Strong in faith, Ed was a man of deep convictions. He loved the Lord and would read his Bible every day. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and a former member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, both of Manheim.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Steve (Sheri) Moyer, of New Cumberland, Tracy Wilt, of Camp Hill, and Kim Elliott, of Crestview, FL; a stepson, Jonathan Keiffer, of Hallam; grandchildren, Joshua Moyer, Michael Elliott, Kayla Elliott, and Aubrey Keiffer; and great-grandchildren, Liam and Ellen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Moyer, and sisters, Freda Wolff, Helen Brown, Mary Klinger, Marion Moyer, and Lois Tolzman.
Thanks and appreciation are extended to the staff of The Heart Group, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, and Dr. Ben Stabler of Manheim Family Health for the excellent care they provided for Ed during his illness.
A Celebration of Life Service in April will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ed’s memory to the American Heart Association, online at www.heart.org.
