Doreen F. Myers, 99, formerly of Manheim passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Newport Meadows Health & Rehab Center, Christiana. Born in Denver, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy B. and Sarah Myers Bissinger. Retired in 1997, Doreen was an executive secretary for over 40 years at the former Raymark Industries, Manheim. She was a lifetime member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim, where she participated in the Daughters of Zion Women’s Group, serving charitable needs in the Manheim community. Doreen was also a member of the Manheim VFW Post 5956 Ladies Auxiliary, International Association of Administrative Professionals, and volunteered for Lancaster Office of the Aging, and for Hospice & Community Care, where she was recognized with honors for 2500 hours of service.
Doreen’s most treasured times were those spent with her loving family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Her dedication, spanning decades of attendance at any and all sporting events of her “children", from T-Ball through college, was extraordinary. She was known for her adventurous spirit and love of life, especially travel, cruising, the seashore, and ABOVE ALL - dancing to 50’s and 60’s music. Her family’s hearts are happy knowing that surely, she is now “dancing with the stars."
Surviving are three daughters, Denise wife of Martin Valins of Landisville, Rebecca wife of Thaddeus Toole of Exton and Peggy wife of Andy Anderson of Ephrata, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rubye Barto and three brothers, Melvin, Donald and Durell Bissinger.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Doreen’s Memorial Service at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2 South Hazel Street, Manheim on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Doreen’s memory to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2 South Hazel Street, Manheim, PA 17545.
