David E. Hodgen

David E. Hodgen, 67, of Lancaster, died suddenly at home on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Hugh H. and Irene Huss Hodgen. He was a 1976 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. David was the loving husband of Tamara S. “Tammy” Gibson-Hodgen and they enjoyed six wonderful years together. For many years Dave worked as a sales representative for Bearing and Drive Solutions, Lancaster. An accomplished artist, Dave attended York Academy of Art. Dave was well known for his watercolor and acrylic art work that was cherished by friends and family. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and rooting for his Phillies baseball, and Eagles, and Notre Dame football teams.

Surviving in addition to his wife Tammy are three daughters: Amanda wife of Kelly Towle, Kalina Green, Adia Hodgen, two grandchildren: Colt and Jacqueline, two stepsons: Todd Barto, Tyler Barto, five step grandchildren, a brother, Steven husband of Eileen Hodgen, two sisters: Carol Laudenberger, Barbara wife of Michael Schreiner all of Lancaster, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gathering for Dave at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 3:00 PM. There will be a viewing on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the gathering. Interment will be private.
