David W. Dinger, 67, of York, and formerly of Manheim, died Thursday, December 18, 2025 at WellSpan York Hospital. Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Paul K. and Erla Gerhart Dinger. David was the fiancé of Tammy Kline of York. For many years David worked as a Parts Technician for Messick Farm Equipment Company, Mount Joy. He attended and served at the LCBC Manheim Campus, where he warmly welcomed others as part of the greeting team. He found meaningful community through the Outdoor Recreation Group and the 55+ Singles Small Group. With a heart for the community in Manheim; David volunteered his time as an Emergency Medical Technician EMT for the Manheim Veterans Memorial Ambulance Association; he also volunteered many years helping as a Scout Leader for the Manheim Boy Scout Troop 307 Manheim. Throughout his life David was an avid runner and cyclist. He cared deeply for people of all walks of life, and always wanted to make sure that people were safe with any activity where he was volunteering. David was thoughtful, kind, and loved his family and close friends deeply.
Surviving is a son, Ryan Dinger of Lancaster, a daughter, Charis J. wife of James Ransom of Wake Forest, NC, and their mother, Cindi. Preceding him in death is a daughter, Marisa Dinger.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend David’s Celebration of Life Service in the West Wing Auditorium at LCBC Manheim Campus, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim, on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:30 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Note: (Please use the Auditorium South Entrance). Interment will be in Mellinger’s Lutheran Cemetery, Schoeneck.
