Darryll R. Keener, 87, of Ephrata, formerly of Manheim, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Keystone Villa at Ephrata. She was the loving wife of the late Roy B. Keener, sharing 13 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 1989.

Born in Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Clyde D. and Ruth (McKenzie) Hellyer.

Darryll was a graduate of Meadville High School, class of 1956, and a graduate of Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, with a degree in Christian Education and proficiency in American Sign Language. Over the years she was employed as a secretary at Lancaster General Hospital and International Signal and Control Group. She was most recently employed as a dietary aide at Landis Homes prior to retirement.

Darryll was active in various churches over the years, teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and serving as pianist and organist. A talented musician, Darryll traveled to nursing homes to play piano and sing for residents, and she sang and played piano for the “Moments of Glad Tidings” broadcast. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting.

Darryll is survived by her nieces, Martha Lou Richey, Ruth Jones, wife of Robert, and Rebecca Crotzer. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Martha H. Strausser, Beatrice M. Hawbaker, and Barbara H. Ott.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, at Erisman Mennonite Cemetery, 8 South Erisman Road, Manheim, PA 17545, with Pastor Frank Schock officiating.
