Constance H. "Connie" Kane

Constance “Connie” Hilton Meek Kane, 85, of Manheim passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Born in Salisbury, MA, she was the daughter of the late David and June Meek.

Her adventurous spirit took her beyond those familiar shores and across the world before she settled in Manheim, Pennsylvania where she raised three of her children. Always a proud New Englander, if a Boston team was playing on the TV she was rooting for them. Life brought challenges, but she faced them with resilience and grace. Never one to walk past a yard sale or thrift store for fear of missing out on a big score. Recycling grocery bags 30 years before it was adopted by everyone else. Connie always had an earth conscious spirit, never wasting a thing. Every rubber band had a purpose; she made sure of it. Her perseverance, love of nature and her delight in Lancaster County’s many seasonal festivals along with her ability to find joy in life’s simple pleasures are what we will miss most. Connie was loved deeply and she will forever live in our hearts.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Strait, Joy Palmieri, two sons, C. Scott Cooling, Mark Douglas Ream; several grandchildren and a sister, Joyce wife of Neville Gilbert.

Funeral Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
