Clarence S. Martin, 81, of Manheim, died on Saturday morning, May 22, 2010 at home. Born in Ephrata on April 12, 1929, he was the son of the late Noah Z. and Susanna W. (Sensenig) Martin. He was a member of the Miners Village Mennonite Church. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, M. Eleonora (Lehman) Martin.
Surviving are 2 sons and 3 daughters: David L. husband of Patty (Reed) Martin, Rochester, WA, Allen L. husband of Phoebe (Sauder) Martin, St. George, DE, Dorcas R., Lititz, Miriam I., Dallas, TX, Evelyn S., Lititz; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren with 1 grandchild preceding him in death. He is also survived by 4 brothers and 4 sisters: Walter, New Holland, Anna Mary Stauffer (Roy), Lititz, Chester, McCordsville, IN, Catherine Longenecker (Dan), Harrisonburg, VA, Irene Neff (John), Landisville, Noah, Johnstown, Susan Weber, Atmore, AL and Melvin, Tracy, CA. Preceding him in death were a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and John Freed, a brother-in-law, Leon Weber and a brother, Isaac.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at White Oak Mennonite Church, 2456 Newport Road, Manheim on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 9:30 AM. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Please omit flowers.
