Carolyn K. Frey

Carolyn K. Frey, 83, of Manheim, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Roy Reese and Reba Kauffman Duncan. Carolyn was the loving wife of the late Harry G. Frey who died in August of 2023 following 60 years of marriage.

For many years Carolyn worked as a teller and customer service representative for numerous banks in Lancaster County. Previously she was employed as a cosmetologist and sales representative for the former Watt & Shand Department Store. In her early years she worked as a cashier for Longenecker’s Hardware Company and Rettew’s Department Store, Manheim. Carolyn was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Fruitville Pike, Lititz.

Carolyn’s interests included: playing cards, reading, hair styling, crossword puzzles, sewing, board games, and spending time at Cape May and Wildwood Crest Beaches. She had a deep passion for her family and cherished all the time she could spend with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons: Troy G. Frey of Manheim, and Matthew A. husband of Yvonne Frey of Mount Joy, a daughter-in-law Mary L. Frey of Lancaster, two granddaughters: Anna wife of Francisco Ocampo, and Elizabeth Frey, and two sisters: Deborah wife of Joe Mendez of Chalfont, Renea wife of William Kneiple of Lansdale. Preceding her in death is a brother, Robert A. Keithline.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Carolyn’s funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 10:30 AM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
