Calvin Louis Mackley

Calvin Louis Mackley, 88, of Manheim, died on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Susquehanna Nursing and Rehab Center, Columbia.  He was the husband of J. Carol (Jenkins) Mackley of Manheim, to whom he was married for 68 years.  Born in Manheim on September 10, 1935, he was the son of the late Edgar and Irene (Shaw) Mackley.

Calvin was a truck driver.  He was a 1953 graduate of Manheim Central High School and served in the U.S. Army.   Calvin was a member of the Sertoma Club and enjoyed camping, woodworking and fishing.  He was an avid New York Yankees fan and Penn State Wrestling.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Dale Mackley and his wife Allison of Hummelstown David Mackley and his wife Sharon of Lititz, two daughters, Debra Detwiler of Manheim, Denise Hartman and her husband Kevin of Lancaster; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers Robert, Eugene and Clair Mackley and a sister Geraldine Geiman.

Services will be private at convenience of the family.
