Bruce Kauffman, 75, of Manheim, died peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Penn State Health, Lancaster Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Kathleen I. Musgrave Kauffman. Bruce was the loving husband of Debra L. Brown Kauffman, and they would have observed their 42nd wedding anniversary in June. He was a 1969 graduate of Carson Long Military Academy, in New Bloomfield. A veteran, Bruce humbly served in the U.S. Navy on the west coast and Pacific, stationed on the destroyer USS Theodore E. Chandler, during the Vietnam War. For over 35 years Bruce worked as a supervisor for Lift All Incorporated, Landisville. He was a life member of the Manheim VFW Post 5956 and a member of Wrightsville American Legion Post 469. In his younger years Bruce enjoyed fishing trips to Quetico Lake in Ontario, Canada. In retirement he found his joy in “holding down the fort”, and supporting his family in pursuit of their dreams.
Bruce loved his family beyond measure. There will never be a replacement for his quiet, constant and unconditional love and support. Surviving in addition to his wife Debra, is a son, Randy husband of Lauren Shank of Johnstown, and two grandsons: Dominick and Patch. Preceding him in death is a brother, Kurt Kauffman.
Services for Bruce will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Bruce’s memory may be sent to: Arch Street Center (a day program for adults living with a severe mental health diagnosis) 629 North Market Street, Lancaster, PA 17603; or Off The Streets Lancaster, (providing hope and dignity to those experiencing homelessness by helping them transition to permanent housing) 601 East Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
