Bonnie L. Chernich

Bonnie L. Chernich, 71, of Manheim, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Jeanne M. Sullenberger Smith. She was the loving wife of Gerald R. “Jerry” Chernich, Jr. Bonnie was a cashier for The Country Store, Mount Joy, where she loved to interact with her customers. She enjoyed listening to music and actively participated in rescuing dogs.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Jerry, she is survived by a son, Michael husband of Shelly Zepp of Helena, AL, a daughter, Ashley wife of Clyde Harmes V of Mohton, and two grandchildren, Aiden and Ansen. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and David Smith.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
