Betty I. "Peg" Whitcraft

   Betty I. “Peg” Whitcraft, 97, of Lititz, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Pleasant View Communities. Born in Brickerville, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mazie Boyer Strauss; and the stepdaughter of the late Martha Redcay Strauss. Peg was the loving wife of Robert T. “Bob” Whitcraft who died in January of this year following 77 years of marriage. She was a 1946 graduate of Lititz High School. Peg worked for manufacturing companies in the Lititz area, and she retired from Dutchmaid Inc., Ephrata. Peg was a dedicated hard worker her entire life. She devoted herself to her family; caring deeply for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her passion, joy, and love was her family.

  Surviving are four daughters: Lyndelle “Lindy” wife of Terry Ober of Elm, Brenda L. Whitcraft, Patricia wife of James Polt, Lori wife of Kevin Faulkner all of Lititz, two grandsons: Shawn husband of Krista Ober, Matthew Todd husband of Wendy Polt, two great granddaughters: Lauryn and Jenna Ober, and a step brother, Barry Strauss of Connecticut. Preceding her in death is a brother and a sister.

  Memorial services for both Peg and Bob will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Brickerville. Those desiring may send contributions in Peg’s or Bob’s memory to Hospice For All Seasons, 280 South Hill Drive, Grantville, PA 17028.
