Betty L. Seiple

       Betty L. Seiple, 89, formerly of York, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Brethren Village, Lititz. Born in Springettsbury Township, York County, she was the daughter of the late Thelma (Cox) and Irvin Walker.

       She enjoyed doing things with her grandchildren, holiday decorating, planting flowers, all things animal print, her Scottish Terrier, Maddy and was often called “Betty Boop”. Her favorite sayings were "You don’t get older you get better!" and "Things go better with Coke!”. She loved York Peppermint Patties and Dum-Dum Lollipops and always had them to share.

      Surviving are two daughters, Katrina wife of Gerald “Chip” Wachob Jr. of Macungie, Trudy wife of Kerry Groff of Manheim, five grandchildren: Megan wife of Trevis Esbenshade, Jared Groff husband of Ella, Alyssa Groff, Gerald “Trey” Wachob III, Isaac Wachob and twin great-grandsons Judah and Jonah on the way. Also surviving is a brother Tommy Walker husband of Mary of Myrtle Beach and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Beitzel and Rita Trone and two brothers, William and Jack Seiple.

      The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff of BPS at Brethren Village who cared for Betty over the last two years. They all went above and beyond to make her feel welcome, loved and comfortable.

       Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
